Last week Matt and I spent about an hour staring out the window at this sunset.  It was one of the most spectacular ones I have seen in over a decade and I thought I would share a few of the photos we took of it.  Enjoy your weekend :)

mini shop update

Hello again!  I have just added a couple of new items to the shop.  I now have more women's hoodies in hot pink, grey, and olive green and you will also see a new little floral smock available in medium and large.  I have decided to start up a women's and men's line under the name ¡Project Project! so please keep checking back as I gradually add new pieces to the collection.  I will be focusing on making timeless pieces that are as stylish as they are functional and I love pockets, which means you will be seeing lots of those.  The new smock dress is a great piece for the whole year and I have just made up a few in this blossom print cotton.  Juniper Gallery in Newtown is also currently stocking a few different styles of dresses, so if you are in the area then make sure to stop by and have a peek.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a nice week! xx

king of cheez turns threez

I am not sure how many of you know that we three (Matt, Teo and I) live with an awesome couple and there two kids, Jude and Greta.   Jude just turned three on Sunday and Helen (mum of our mini-flatmates) threw a great party complete with insect covered cupcakes (no, not the real kind.)  I took a few snap shots of the event in all its glory and picked a few of my faves to share with you.

I apologise for the recent lack of updates, but I have been a busy lass lately and the boy is so irresistibly charming I find I am unable to tear myself away from him.  However,  I have managed to get a bit of designing time in while he naps.  Here are a few ladies garments:

The first dress is a loose-fitting cotton smock with three-quarter length sleeves and features cut-out pockets along the seam.  The second style is a denim dress with a gathered, elasticised neckline, bound sleeves and contrasting cut-out pockets.  And lastly we have a hooded tunic with cut-out pockets and a scooped hem that is longer at the back.  This one is made of black wool with a dark floral fabric in the pocket and hood lining (I know it is nearly summer down here in NZ, but it is almost winter in other parts of the world!)  I will be updating the blog when I have added more items to the shop.  Thanks for reading and enjoy your weekend!

 

 

 

 

 

It's been a good week, but it's only Monday

I had a superb day today and I am finally coming out of the shell I have been in over the past few months. I am sure it has something to do with me getting into the Midwifery Programme, along with not being so hormonal and the fact it is actually sunny some days.  Yes, I have shared my excitement about being accepted already but I just can't help it. My poor hubby and flat mates must be tired of hearing me spout off every five minutes "Did you know I got into the programme?  I'm just so excited ya know."  The kids, however, don't mind me telling them over and over again, as this repetitive conversation is a form they are rather fond of.  Teo has told me thirteen times now that there is a "Big yellow bus" currently parked down the hill and I give him the same response as my flat mates give me; a smile and a nod.
