29 Dresses

I have just finished cutting out 29 dresses and tops and my fingers have actually become swollen from the abuse.  They are almost all one of a kind and made from drool-worthy pre-loved floral and paisley printed cottons.  I can't wait to list them.  But hold your horses because my beloved extra set of hands (aka Demelza) is vacationing in Europe for the next 7 or 8 weeks and that means this will take some time as I have to sit and lovingly construct each and every one of these bad boys.  But they will be well worth the wait I dare say.   I shall post some images of it all in the next while.  For now here are a few photos of Teo in a new tunic.

How I love new additions!

I made up this ladies hoodie the other day for the purpose of wearing it out that morning, but once I was done I thought it was too perfect to justify keeping for myself.  How sad is that to feel I'm only good enough for seconds?  I deserve a perfect piece too (I know), but for the moment I think someone else deserves this gorgeous garment made from 100 % pure NZ Merino.  Ohhh it was scrumptious to put on if only for a moment or so.  Check out my Etsy Shop for some new pieces, ahhhh yes there are some linen & wool tunics if you are between the age of 1 and 2 years and I will be making bigger sizes at some point.  (Bigger sizes being 2-3 and 3-4 years... sorry no big people sizes yet but I do intend on making myself one soon!)

Here are a few more of the jumpers. They get more and more fun to do and I love how different each one looks. Teo will be getting one in future I think...

Wicked Winter Woolens!!!

Alrighty, I was kept up by an epiphany last night and today I decided to put it into action so that I could sleep soundly tonight. My thought was to recycle some manky jumpers and revamp them into something beautiful. I played around today with an old men's pure lambs wool jumper and check out what happened. Items like this one will be available online and through my stockists in Wellington. This one is currently on Trade Me and I am working on more tomorrow in lovely bright colours and different types of wools.

I LOVE new additions!!!

I love photographing fresh, new clothing items! They make me happy with this great sense of accomplishment. I just adore these little pants. I designed them to have a skinny leg but with room for a cloth nappy. They are made from Cotton/Lycra with a pre-loved contrast fabric in the pocket. Oh...and they have dragonflies screen printed on them! So cute.

Also, another peasant top made from an old pillow case. Who knew pillow cases could make such gorgeous wee garments?
