Here are the balls of yarn after dyeing.  We did two separate lots.  The multicoloured is alpaca yarn in 10ply Aran weight and the other is 8ply.  I'm knitting a pair of these slippers which I will then felt.  My partner has a pair that I have stolen, so I guess it is time for me to make myself a pair, and I will also have to make him another pair too seeing as my toe has wound up burrowing its way through the other side of the slipper...

Blargh

I've been rather busy and loving work but have completely forgotten about my blog! I have been knitting heaps and dyeing yarn and even doing some spinning, but mostly I have been working. I got a cold over the weekend so had a quiet day and am feeling miles better than before. I watched Bridget Jones's Diary yesterday while laying on the couch and it was really fun to be by myself watching a funny/silly movie. I have no shame in the fact the I love a good (or bad) romantic comedy.

Any way, this is what we have been up to when I'm not indulging in silliness. My mum is here now and we have been playing with fibre and dye OOOH FUN!  

 

projects

I have finally managed to get some decent fotos of some projects that have been sitting in a pile for ages. I have also updated my shop for the first time in a while too.  Here are some of the photos.  Sorry not much to write.  I have been having fun catching babies and visiting with pregnant mums and new bubbies so I am spent but content and am looking forward to my pillow right now. 

busy

We are busy in this household.  Work is going really well.  I love what I am doing, the boy is enjoying school and the man is having a good start to the teaching year.  The weather has finally improved here in Welly over the past few days and I dare say that some sunshine was much needed.  

Recently I have had no time to tuck into my knitting or sewing projects, which is a bit of a bummer, but I am just spent at the end of each day. Perhaps when the (dare I say it) cooler weather starts to roll in I will get into the nesty crafting a bit more.  I also need to get some ladies together for a crafting evening soon. 

That's it for me at the moment.  I'm pooped.
